RECREATION RENTAL UPDATE

Due to the State of Emergency in Ohio as declared by Governor Mike DeWine and in keeping with the best practices to restrain the spread of the Covid-19 virus as stipulated by Dr. Amy Acton, Director of the Ohio Department of Health, please be advised of the following changes to City of North Canton administrative policies and procedures:

Effective March 17, 2020 through May 10, 2020, all rentals of the North Canton Civic Center and North Canton Dogwood Shelter Pavilions will be cancelled. All individuals and entities that had reserved these facilities and made payment will be offered a full refund or be allowed to reserve a future date in lieu of a refund.

City officials will continue to monitor the Covid-19 developments and work in conjunction with the Office of the Governor and the Ohio Department of Health to determine whether rentals beyond May 10, 2020 will need to be cancelled. This determination will be made based on conditions in effect as the May 10th date draws near.

Similarly, the City of North Canton will not accept any new reservations for these facilities with an event date occurring prior to September 1, 2020.

Regarding use or rental of the City’s outdoor picnic shelters, we would ask patrons to follow the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) of not congregating in groups larger than 10 at this time.

Please call the City of North Canton Recreation Rental Department at 330-499-8223, extension 1005 or email us at kboresh@northcantonohio.gov, to advise the City whether you would like to reschedule your affected event to a date after September 1, 2020 or would prefer a refund.
