1. What City Ward am I in?

City wards currently match the four City quadrants formed by Main and maple Streets.

If your address includes a "NW" or you are on the north side of W Maple or the west side of N Main you are in Ward 1. The Ward 1 Councilmember can be contacted here.

If your address includes a "NE" or you are on the north side of E Maple or the east side of N Main you are in Ward 2. The Ward 2 Councilmember can be contacted here.

If your address includes a "SE" or you are on the south side of E Maple or the east side of S Main you are in Ward 3. The Ward 3 Councilmember can be contacted here.

If your address includes a "SW" or you are on the south side of W Maple or the west side of S Main you are in Ward 4. The Ward 4 Councilmember can be contacted here.

The City also has 3 At-Large Councilmembers who represent the entire City and can be contacted at NorthCantonOhio.gov/CityCouncil.

3. When is the next council meeting and is it open to the public?

Council Meeting Information

• Council generally meets every Monday at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at the North Canton Civic Center. Residents may address City Council at regular Council meetings held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
• If the regular meeting date falls on a holiday recognized by the City, the meeting date shall be cancelled.
• If there are five Mondays in a month, Council does not meet the fifth Monday.
• Council generally takes a summer (July or August) and winter (December/January) break.

4. Are the ordinances online and how can I find them?

Yes, legislation is posted online in two forms. 

First the Codified Ordinances record all standing law for the City.
