Steve started his public service career with the City of North Canton as an auxiliary police officer in 1981. He ascended through the ranks and in 2010 was selected the sixth Chief of Police. Steve retired as Chief of Police in March of 2017 after 36 years of service. In November of 2019 Steve was elected Mayor for the City of North Canton and is honored to proudly serves his community. He remains active in numerous civic organizations. He is a member of the Rotary Club of North Canton, Ohio. He looks forward to serving Rotary International District 6650 as District Governor in 2021-2022. He and his wife Mary have been married 40 years and are grateful to call North Canton their home.

Matthew Stroia was born in North Canton and is a graduate of North Canton Hoover High School and the University of Toledo. He owns several small businesses in the local area and works mainly in the accounting and financial industries. He lives near City Hall with his wife, Jessica, and their son. He enjoys attending community events, sports, brewing beer, and history. Member Stroia currently serves as Chairman of the Street and Alley Committee.

Stephanie Werren is a Stark County native who graduated from Miami and Malone Universities. Stephanie lives in Monticello with her husband Curt, and their three children. Outside of City Council she works as the Director of Leadership Stark County and has a broad background in sales and community volunteerism. Her current community involvement includes Stark Housing Network Advisory Member, NEOHIO Western Reserve Board, Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, along with other volunteer commitments throughout the year. Stephanie is dedicated to continually working to improve not just North Canton but Stark County as a whole. Stephanie currently serves as Vice President of City Council and Chairwoman of the Property and Finance Committee.

Jamie McCleaster, a life-long North Canton resident, graduated from Hoover High School and the University of Akron. Outside of Council he works in the pharmaceutical industry. Jamie’s first role with the city was on the Citizen’s Survey Committee. Most recently he served as the Chairman of the Planning Commission prior to his election to Council. Jamie lives with his wife and two children, and enjoys hiking with his family, competing in triathlons, sailboat racing, and playing guitar. Giving back to the community is important to Jamie. He is a former President of the North Canton Jaycees and was recently awarded with life-membership. Jamie currently serves as the Chairman of the Utilities Committee.

David Metheney is New Brands Manager at Summit Racing Equipment and graduated from Ohio University. Although not born in North Canton he and his family choose to move here in the early 1990’s and raise their children by providing them with a quality education, in a safe city, with desirable neighborhoods. David has 35 years of business experience and prides himself on asking insightful questions to make sure tax dollars are spent wisely. His entire professional career in business has been leading teams to excel and exceed customers’ expectations. Whether for a family owned business, fortune 500 company, or as a small business owner, he sees the residents of North Canton, as the city government’s #1 customers. He currently serves as Chairman of the Personnel and Safety Committee.

John Orr has lived in North Canton for over 30 years with his wife Theanna. He is a proud father of two sons and grandfather of one granddaughter. John graduated from GlenOak High School and attended Kent State University. He currently works as the Director of Sales and Business Development for Massillon Plaque Company here in North Canton. John has been a part of the North Canton Chamber Commerce, Beacon Charitable Pharmacy, North Canton Hoover Sideliners, North Canton Little League Baseball, North Canton Youth Football and Hoover lacrosse. He is committed and proud to be a part of the North Canton community and looks forward to serving and working for the citizens of Ward 4 and the community of North Canton. John currently serves as the Chairman of the Ordinance and Rules Committee.

Christina Weyrick’s professional career has been centered around service to others. She’s worked in advocacy, marketing, and fundraising for a number of non-profit organizations, including The John Glenn Institute at The Ohio State University, the ASPCA, and the North Canton Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is employed as Community Relations Manager for the North Canton Public Library. Christina believes strongly in servant leadership and has held many service roles in North Canton. She is the a recent past Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce, and served as Event Chair for the 2021 North Canton Main Street Festival, 2018 and 2019 North Canton Chocolate Walks, 2019 and 2021 Winterfest events and the 2020 Holiday Drive North Canton. Christina is also a member of the North Canton C.A.R.E.S. Network and the Board of Governors for the North Canton Educational Endowment Fund. Christina lives near the city center with her son and three rescued pets. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Committee.

Daryl Revoldt has called North Canton home for 60 years. Married to former North Canton school teacher Christy the couple raised two children here. Over the past 40 years Daryl has served as Ward Councilman, Councilman At-Large, and Mayor. His special area of expertise is Economic development and currently serves as Chairman of the Community and Economic Development Committee.
