If you are in the healthcare field at all you are probably required to have the BLS for Healthcare Providers. If you are just taking the class for yourself or are taking it for coaching purposes you need the Heartsaver AED. If you are unsure please email CPR Certification or call 330-497-4899.
You can either call the station at 330-497-4899 or email CPR Certification. Please include your full name, phone number and email for registration purposes.
The cost of the class is $40.00 for BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED. The cost of the Coaches classes is $5.00 per person. Books are available to sign out for use during class. If you would like to purchase a book please call or email us for info. Cost of books varies for the different classes. The class must be paid for with exact cash or a check made out to "The City of North Canton." We don't keep change in the office and the city does not take credit cards for CPR at this time. We appreciate if the class is paid for at least a week ahead of time, this secures your spot in the class.
We are very busy in July, August, December, January and sometimes June. Classes fill quickly at this time. The reason being many classes in the healthcare fields, require AHA BLS for healthcare providers to sign up, as a result this is also when people need to re-certify.
Your card is good for 2 years.

In class it is DVD and hands on, so the book is to review the information beforehand and also to use as a reference guide in the future. There is a written test in the BLS for Healthcare Providers class and there are questions that are not covered in the DVD. If you are not sure you have the correct book just ask me.
There are some courses that you can do online and come to the station for a skills test. There is a $30 fee for the skills test. The website for the online courses is www.onlineaha.org. After you complete the online portion, you can contact us for an appointment to do your skills test. You must print your certificate after you finish the online portion, and bring it with you to your skills test.
